Reads.me (“Service”) is operated by D.AT Analytics LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located in Durham, North Carolina.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Reads.me is an AI-powered platform that enables users to create autobiographical content through voice interaction, transcription, and automated editing.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.
  • If you are under 18, you must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

3. Accounts

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

4. Subscriptions and Payments (App Store Compliance)

If you purchase a subscription through Apple App Store or Google Play:

Apple App Store

  • Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple account settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by us.

Google Play

  • Payment will be charged to your Google account.
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date.
  • You can manage subscriptions via Google Play settings.
  • Refunds are handled by Google, not by us.

General

  • Pricing may change with notice.
  • We do not control third-party billing systems.

5. User Content

You retain ownership of your content, including recordings, transcripts, and generated stories.

You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to:

  • Host, store, process, and display your content
  • Operate and improve the Service
  • Perform analytics (see Section 11)

6. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate and modify content.

You acknowledge:

  • Output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading

  • We make no guarantees regarding:

  • Accuracy

  • Reliability
  • Factual correctness
  • Fitness for any purpose

You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying content.

7. Data Storage and Loss

  • We do not guarantee that your data will always be available or preserved.
  • Data may be lost, corrupted, or deleted.
  • You are responsible for maintaining your own backups.

8. Security and Data Breach

  • We implement reasonable safeguards but cannot guarantee absolute security.
  • We are not responsible for unauthorized access, breaches, or third-party attacks.

9. Privacy

10. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

D.AT Analytics LLC shall not be liable for:

  • Loss of data
  • Loss of profits or business
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the last 12 months.

17. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless D.AT Analytics LLC from claims arising out of:

  • Your use of the Service
  • Your content
  • Your violation of these Terms

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina.

19. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
